I'm looking for volunteers to help out at the St Ann's Hospice Manchester Midnight Walk on 23rd May 2008. The walk is one of St Ann's (Heald Green) biggest fundraisers of the year and takles place at the City of Manchester Stadium.
If you could help out by volunteering on the night, I'd love to hear from you - wbray@sah.org.uk

What does the walk involve. What is the cost? What does your organization do with the funds?

I have been trying to find any photo's or information on a footbridge that used to be located on Queen Street and went across to Newbridge Lane in the Portwood area before St Mary's way was built. The reason for this is that i have been helping my Mum to gather memories from her childhood and Queen Street is the street she grew up on in the 1940's and she went to Vernon Park School. Any photos or information on this or any of the places mentioned would be extremely appreciated.
Thank-you

Hi
I'm new to the area and am in the process of buying a house and the survey's come back stating I there is are potential damp problems and that I need a qualified contractor to take a closer look. Can anyone recommend a decent firm that won't try to rip me off or do a shoddy job...?
Many thanks in advance...
